Betsy and Chris waiting for their baby girl, Maternity Photographer Philadelphia PA

You know what one of the most amazing things is about waiting for a baby to be born? You really have no idea when labor is going to begin. I met up with Betsy and Chris a few weeks ago for their maternity session; little did we know that their sweet baby girl was going to arrive barely a week later! I always say that the bigger the belly the better for maternity photos, but not to wait too long before there isn’t a belly anymore. This was the closest I’ve ever cut it for a maternity session. Sometimes pregnancy feels like it’s lasting forever, but once it’s over the feeling fades and can feel like it was so long ago. I’m so relieved we got these beautiful images, for this couple to look back on this time together before they became parents.

PINIMAGEBetsy was just glowing and made a simply gorgeous mama-to-be.

What we really wanted to find was a tree in bloom and finally spotted one down a tiny side street.
PINIMAGEFinally back home for a quick family shot with their puppy Bingo (best dog name ever, right?) You can’t forget your first baby, even if she’s furry.

We had so much fun walking around the neighborhood completely oblivious that this sweet couple were about to meet their little girl.
