More documenting the day and less typical wedding-y

Yes, I said “wedding-y”, and yes that’s a direct quote from one of my favorite brides. Are you getting married but don’t want a “wedding photographer”? What does that even mean?

Yes to capturing lots of candid moments, emotion, and personality during your wedding!

You are giving a pass to all the formal, traditional wedding stuff, and planning an elopement or wedding that’s super personal. You want a photographer who is super great at catching all the little moments you’ll want to remember, and less concerned about posing everyone perfectly.

Yes to City Hall, a spot by the Schuylkill, your backyard, a Philly restaurant, you name it!

Just tell me where and I’ll be there.

No to lots of posed portraits, super stylized images, and sweating the formality.

And if you love those things, no shade! I’d be happy to refer you to friends who do this so well! It’s just not my thing 😉

“Rachel is amazing, such a pro. I already knew she was good but I was just so so impressed. She was everywhere and all of our photos were full of our personality, she is a wizard at capturing people (and KIDS!!). You will not regret hiring her, definitely feels like we lucked out and I'm looking forward to more life events being photographed by her!”

Groom wipes away tears during ceremony, back patio Philly restaurant, Philadelphia wedding photographer

“Rachel did an amazing job taking photos for our wedding this summer! We started with group photos, and she had wonderful positive energy that put everyone in a good mood. Then for portraits, she helped ease my and my spouse’s nervousness about the big occasion by coaching us to pose with confidence. Throughout the ceremony she got so many action shots and cool angles without us even noticing, bravo! We received the photo files quickly and they came out excellent! So glad Rachel helped capture the joy of our special day.👏”
