When this mama contacted me about doing a family photo session, she said they had a total of three pictures of them all together. She also listed so many times they had tried and failed to get good photos of their daughter smiling. Which sounds crazy if you've ever met this rambunctious, gorgeous little girl! She was so full of energy and personality, we barely sat still for more than a minute our whole time together at the Azalea Gardens in Fairmount Park. The other funny part to this story is that Jess originally got in touch last Spring right before I was going on maternity leave, so we set plans for the Fall. Fast forward a few months, we're ready to go, and surprise! This beautiful family of three was getting ready to welcome a new baby! So our family session now had the added bonus of being a maternity shoot as well.So, off we went to the park! Jess told me how much her little girl loves to run, jump, be tickled and tossed in the air, so there was plenty of all of that! I love letting kids be themselves and capturing who they are at this age, and this little lady is definitely a lot of fun. We ran all over the park, jumping off rocks, picking up sticks, discovering caterpillars, and exploring the flowers, fountains, and statues. We stole a few calm moments snuggling up to mama's pregnant belly, and then we were off running again.It's so special to put some attention on your little one as they get ready to become a big sibling, and I was so glad to capture a bit of this moment in time for these three. I can't wait to capture more of the fun and love in this family after baby arrives!
