Enter Baby Henry, cutest little redhead you ever did see, Lifestyle Newborn Photographer Philadelphia PA

One of the best parts about being a newborn photographer in Philadelphia is getting to go all over the city to meet amazing families and help them welcome their newest little members. And one of the more challenging parts about trying to get all over Philly is how... interesting it can be sometimes to get where you're going. On this particular day, I hit road closures from construction, power lines being down, random detours for no apparent reason, and when I finally got to Joanna and Mike's neighborhood there was an amazing music festival going on just down the block from their house! But thank goodness I always leave early, and pray often to the parking karma gods, because I did eventually get there and found a spot right around the corner. And if you're from Philly, you know what a feat that was!Inside the noise and chaos of the street just melted away to calm and quiet, and we had a wonderful session together. Baby Henry was 12 days new, still a tiny and scrawny newborn, with the most amazing head of red hair. But more on that later. First, take a look at this amazing quilt that their friends made for him!newborn baby boy sleeping on handmade quilt Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographyAnd how completely peaceful he looks in daddy and mommy's arms...newborn baby boy sleeping in dad's arms Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographynewborn baby boy sleeping in mom's arms Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographyTiny dimples, is there anything better? I'm talking cheeks and chin here folks.newborn baby boy sleeping smiles dimples Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographyAnd of course the little hands and feet. I so often look at my own daughter's hands in mine now and remember how small they used to be.newborn baby boy sleeping tiny fingers and toes Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographynewborn baby boy sleeping on mom's lap Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographyHenry and dad have a special connection, beyond the wonderful red hair of course. He was so calm in dad's arm, so content, and would look straight into Mike's eyes like he already had things to say to him.newborn baby boy awake in dad's arms Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographynewborn baby boy looking at dad Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographyAnd Henry and Mike look so much alike! Joanna and I talked about how crazy it is when you start having kids and you realize you've made a little version of yourself or your partner. It only gets more crazy from there, as their personality starts to come out and you see yourself reflected in a whole new way. But they've got time for that.newborn baby boy looking at dad Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographyThese just crack me up! Babies (and mommies) make the best faces! Apparently, mom figured out that "99 bottles of beer" has the perfect rhythm for soothing a tired little one, and enough verses to get you through rocking even the crankiest baby to sleep. I can't wait for them to tell Henry that that's what they used for his lullaby; whatever works!newborn baby boy at home with mom making faces Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographynewborn baby boy snuggled up with mom and dad Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographynewborn baby boy snuggled up with mom and dad Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographyI love these images of mom and baby nursing. So sweet and classic. And that fact that she has a supportive partner makes a world of difference, you can just feel the immense love they have for each other in caring for this new little life.newborn baby boy breastfeeding nursing Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographynewborn baby boy breastfeeding nursing Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographyCan't forget the furry big sibling, who watched us from a safe distance the whole time.So many sweet, tender moments.newborn baby boy kissed from mom and dad Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographyAnd some less sweet ones, too ;)newborn baby boy kissed from mom and dad Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographyI caught this as Joanna was walking me out and it's definitely one of my favorites.newborn baby boy kissed from mom in the mirror Philadelphia PA lifestyle photographyWhen I came back a week later to show these guys their photos, Henry already looked so much bigger! He had started to plump up, and had outgrown the newborn clothes and was into the next size. It goes so incredibly fast!  Rachel Utain-Evans is a Lifestyle Newborn, Family and Maternity Photographer in Philadelphia, PA.
