Baby Stephen, Lifestyle Newborn Session in Bella Vista
One of the most amazing parts about photographing a newborn is getting to witness two people becoming parents for the first time. Julie and Jason had a beautiful maternity session with me a few months ago, and it was a lot of fun getting to know them as a couple. Coming back a few weeks after their sweet baby boy has joined their family, I get to see how things have changed now that they are a mommy and a daddy. It's subtle, but it's there: the lingering looks at the baby, the gentle tones of voice, the loving support and the closeness of having experienced a singular moment in their lives. When you have a new baby, the days can be a blur and you don't often have time to stop and notice all of the new and amazing things in your life. That's where I come in, to freeze time for just a moment and show what you might be missing.Yup, mama, you did it, you made that brand new amazing little person. Some babies come out chubby, but not this little guy. We were both obsessed with his scrawny little legs, and by the time I came back to show them the photos Stephen had started plumping up and the rolls were coming in. Every time mom looked at this photo she laughed and said how much she loved it, and that's why it's so important to have a newborn session in those first couple weeks! These kids just grow so quickly! He may be small, but his yawn is mighty ;)I say it all the time, I'm a full believer in the baby smile. Don't tell me it's gas!Itty bitty toes... never not cute.So much love in this image, and his clear, alert eyes are just so amazing.I'm so excited to watch Stephen grow over the next year and help these two document all of the wonderful changes he goes through.
