Let the good times roll, welcoming baby sister, Philadelphia Newborn Photographer

A few weeks after their maternity session, savoring their time with soon-to-be big sister, I was back with this sweet family to celebrate the arrival of baby sister. One of my favorite parts of documenting a new baby is capturing a bit of what life really feels like with a newborn, especially with a big sibling already in the picture. Some things feel so completely different, and some things are just as they were. That toddler still has so much energy and love and cuddles and more energy, and now you're figuring out how to balance that with the attention your new little one needs. Just taking each moment as it comes. It was really fun to shoot in this family's home again, spending time in the same rooms we did last time, but now seeing them together as a foursome. We started off downstairs, examining little sister's tiny toes. Big sister still wanted to curl up with mama, and was so wonderfully sweet with her new sibling. While baby took a little nap in dad's arms, we stopped in big sister's room for some shenanigans, then up to mom and dad's room for some sweet cuddles on the big bed. These two girls were both so full of personality, we had a hard time picking favorite portraits of the two of them because they were all so different, funny, and so cute!Mama got some quiet time with her new daughter while we stopped in the nursery, with a surprise rainbow on the wall reflecting in from outside. Mom and dad are Tulane alums, and she had a "Let the good time roll" wall hanging designed. I loved this special tribute to the start of their lives together. Not to mention it's a fantastic motto for this wonderful family! A few more shots downstairs with their "old man" dog, and it was a rap on this slice of life photography session for this new family of four.
